Clapping Cat Video Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026. This policy explains what Clapping Cat Video (clappingcatvideo.com) does with your data when you make a clapping cat video. Short version: your photos are used only to make your video and are deleted right after; your video is kept for 30 days unless you delete it sooner.
What we collect
Your email address, if you sign in (by one-time code or Google) or give it at checkout. You don't need an account to make a video: without one, your videos are linked to a random ID stored in a cookie on your browser. The two photos you upload. The videos we generate for you. Your video balance and purchase history, kept by our billing service. Basic server logs (time, page, error) without your photos. A simple usage log of steps on the site (pages viewed, where a visit came from, sign-in, checkout started, video made or failed, download), linked to your account ID once you're signed in; it holds no IP address, browser details or photos.
How long we keep it
Uploaded photos: deleted as soon as your video finishes or fails, and in any case within 24 hours — including photos you uploaded but didn't pay for.
Generated videos: kept for 30 days in My videos, then deleted automatically. You can delete a video yourself at any time.
Account and purchase records: kept while your account exists and as long as required for tax and accounting.
Usage log: deleted automatically after 180 days.
Automated photo check
Before anything is charged, both photos go through an automated image check (Cloudflare Workers AI) that looks for exactly one adult person and no nudity in the first photo, and a cat in the second. It's only used to decide whether a photo can be used; it doesn't identify who you are.
Who processes your data
kie.ai (running Google's Nano Banana and Veo models) runs the AI video model and receives your two photos and the scene description to make your video. Stripe processes payments through our billing service; we never see your card number. Cloudflare hosts the site, stores files and runs the photo check. Your email is handled by our sign-in service. We don't sell your data or use your photos to train models.
Your choices
Delete any video from its page in My videos. To delete your account and everything linked to it, or to ask what we hold about you, email support@clappingcatvideo.com. We answer within 30 days.
Cookies and analytics
We use two cookies: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers your videos on this browser if you haven't signed in. Neither tracks you across sites. Site statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across sites, and from the usage log above, which we use only to see where the site breaks or loses people and to fix it.
